Dr. Larysa Dyrszka   

Dr. Dyrszka is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Following residency and board certification in pediatrics, she practiced general pediatrics and held the position of Director of Pediatrics at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ. She is a representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) with the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations. Her recent work has been focused on children’s rights, particularly health. A SUNY (State University of New York) Sullivan Community College Board of Trustees member from 2009-2018, she was appointed by Governor Paterson, and has served as secretary of the Board.

Dr Dyrszka has become an advocate for public health on the issue of oil and gas exploration and production. She is a founding member of Sullivan Area Citizens for Responsible Energy Development. Together with fellow NY medical colleagues, she founded Concerned Health Professionals of New York, and has been involved in in the production of four editions of their Compendium of Scientific, Medical, and Media Findings Demonstrating Risks and Harms of Fracking. She is also on the Executive Board of Physicians for Social Responsibility - New York.
